Day rates apply to most projects. Hourly rates are reserved for multi-day events or exceptionally brief special events.
Day rates cover a 10-hour workday. Projects needing extra time are quoted additionally. If a project exceeds its scope and runs into unquoted hours, those are billed at time and a half.
Projects beyond Kalamazoo County are billed at day rates only. Travel expenses are estimated in the quote and billed at actual cost, with mileage at the prevailing federal IRS rate.
Consultations and installation support are brand-neutral. I won't push specific products; advice is based on experience, with vendor referrals where they fit.
